XENON100 实验的首批轴子结果

摘要

我们展示了利用 XENON100 实验搜索轴子和类轴子粒子的首批结果。通过利用液氙中的轴电效应,探测了轴子 - 电子耦合常数 gAeg_{Ae}。对 224.6 活日 ×\times 34 kg 曝光量的剖面似然分析未显示任何信号证据。在太阳轴子搜索中,通过排除大于 7.7×10127.7 \times 10^{-12} (90\% CL) 的 gAeg_{Ae},我们设定了迄今为止对该耦合的最佳限制。在 DFSZ 和 KSVZ 模型框架下,我们分别排除了质量重于 0.3 eV/c2^2 和 80 eV/c2^2 的 QCD 轴子。对于类轴子粒子,假设它们构成了我们星系中暗物质的全部丰度,我们将质量范围在 1 到 40 keV/c2^2 之间的 gAeg_{Ae} 限制为低于 1×10121 \times 10^{-12} (90\% CL),这也设定了迄今为止的最佳限制。
