在四方铁基磷族化物中发现约 50 K 的超导性，激发了对具有类似结构的广泛材料中超导性的探索。铜形成了与 LaOFeAs 同结构的化合物。单相 BiOCuS 可由 Bi2O3、Bi2S3 和 Cu2S 的混合物在低于 500 C 的温度下通过固相反应制备。样品已通过 EDX 分析、X 射线衍射、磁性和电学测量进行了表征。晶胞参数为 a = 3.8708 A，c = 8.565 A。载流子掺杂可通过 F 替代 O 或 Cu 的偏离化学计量来实现。后一种掺杂途径导致了在 Tc = 5.8 K 以下出现超导性。
