摘要
热海王星是气态行星,小于土星(~3-8 R),轨道周期小于10天,十分稀少。模型预测这是由于高能恒星辐照随时间剥离行星大气,常只留下岩石行星核。我们报告发现一颗6.2 R(0.55 R)、19.2 M(0.060 M)的行星每4.21285天凌一颗红巨星。该行星的古老年龄和高平衡温度却密度极低,表明其气态包层本应在数十亿年前被高能恒星辐照剥离。现今的行星质量和半径表明大气剥离比预测更慢。出乎意料的低恒星活动和/或晚期行星膨胀可能是造成该系统观测性质的原因。
