TESS 巨星凌巨星 II:绕演化恒星的最热木星

摘要

短周期轨道上的巨行星被预言会膨胀并最终被其宿主星吞没。然而这些过程的详细时标与阶段尚不明了。此处我们呈现三颗热木星(P << 10 d)绕演化中等质量恒星(MM_\star \approx 1.5 M_\odot,2 R_\odot << R<R_\star < 5 R_\odot)运行的发现。通过结合 \tess 测光与地面测光及视向速度测量,我们报告这三颗行星质量与半径分别为 0.4 至 1.8 MJ_\mathrm{J} 与 0.8 至 1.8 RJ_\mathrm{J}。\planet 拥有迄今环绕红巨星发现的任何行星中最短周期(P=\period)。\planettwo 与 \planetthree 看似膨胀,而 \planet 无膨胀迹象。\planettwo 与 \planetthree 的大半径与相对较低质量使它们跻身已知密度最低热木星,而 \planet 反之属最高者之一。三颗行星轨道偏心率均低于 0.2。这些系统半径的大幅弥散意味着行星膨胀对行星质量、半径、入射通量及轨道性质有复杂依赖。我们预言 \planet 拥有任何已知行星中最短轨道衰减时标,但未在该系统中探测到任何轨道衰减。对 \planettwo 的透射光谱将提供有利机遇以探测绕演化恒星行星大气中水、二氧化碳与一氧化碳特征,并可得知行星形成与大气演化新信息。
