TESS 全帧图像中的温木星:第一年星表与观测偏心率分布

摘要

温木星——此处定义为半径大于 6 地球半径、轨道周期 8--200 天的行星——是我们理解行星系统如何形成与演化的一块关键缺失拼图。目前关于温木星是原位形成、经历盘迁移或高偏心率潮汐迁移,还是具有混合起源通道尚存争论。这些不同的起源通道类别导致对温木星性质的不同的预期,而由于样本量小,目前难以评估。我们利用 \TESS 巡天,系统性地在 \TESS 主任务数据第一年的全帧图像中,搜寻 \TESS 波段星等亮于 12 的主序宿主星周围的温木星候选体。我们给出一份包含 55 个温木星候选体的星表,其中包括 19 个未被 \TESS 团队最初作为 \TESS 感兴趣对象(TOIs)发布的候选体。我们拟合了它们的 \TESS 光变曲线,表征了其偏心率与凌星时刻变化(TTVs),并排定了一份供地基后续观测与 \TESS 扩展任务观测的优先列表。利用层次贝叶斯建模,我们以 Beta 分布、Rayleigh 分布和双分量高斯分布作为偏心率分布的函数形式,求得了温木星候选体星表的初步偏心率分布。需要额外的后续观测来清除样本中的假阳性以进行完整统计研究、推导轨道解以打破偏心率简并,并提供质量测量。
