X射线明亮光学宁静星系：P3的案例

摘要
最近的X射线巡天已经清楚地表明，在X射线通量约为10-14 erg cm-2 s-1时，出现了一类光学暗淡、X射线明亮的星系。这些天体的本质仍然未知。我们展示了被认为是研究最充分的例子的多波段观测结果：Chandra源CXOUJ031238.9-765134，由Fiore等人（2000）光学证认为一个红移z=0.159的表观正常星系，并被称为“Fiore P3”。
