偶发硬 X 射线源的红外观测

摘要
我们报告对一批光学微弱、硬 X 射线源的观测，这些源很可能负责硬 X 射线背景的主要部分。我们确认此类源在近红外容易被检测到，并且发现它们具有无特征连续光谱，这表明活性天体被严重遮蔽。大多数目标的红外颜色与在 z=1-2 处的被遮蔽椭圆星系相符。这极可能是我们观测到重要新型 X 射线 II 类原石油的较亮成员。
