水在Pt(111)表面：质子无序的重要性

摘要
通过广泛的第一性原理计算研究了Pt(111)表面水吸附层的结构。只有允许质子无序才能找到基态能量。这源于水/金属化学键与水网络氢键之间的相互作用。由此产生的短O-Pt距离解释了实验证据。这些结果的新颖性为水-金属相互作用的相关方面提供了新的视角。
