目前已在神经退行性疾病中评估疾病修饰治疗。亨廷顿病（Huntington's Disease）代表了设计自动亚临床标记的独有契机，即便在症状前基因携带者中亦然。我们研究了发音障碍作为潜在临床标记，并提议将其用于诊断与基因携带者随访。我们使用了两类特征：发音特征（Phonatory features）与调制功率谱特征（Modulation Power Spectrum Features）。我们发现，发音不足以识别症状前基因携带者的亚临床障碍。根据我们的回归结果，发音特征适用于预测亨廷顿病的临床表现。
