我们讨论了在无序介质中研究驱动弹性弦在沉默阈值处所使用的非局部变体蒙特卡罗算法。我们证明了该算法满足至关重要的 no-passing 规则，并且在一些初始时间后，弦仅向前移动。变体蒙特卡罗算法克服了局部方法的局限性，正如我们通过分析单个针问题的沉默阈值所展示的那样。
