在任何具有有限状态空间的马尔可夫链中，转移记录的分布总是属于指数族。这一观察被用来证明一个涨落定理，并表明平稳马尔可夫链的动力学熵是步数的线性函数。讨论了三个应用。再现了一个关于熵产生的已知结果。为具有Metropolis动力学的平衡系统推导了一个热力学关系。最后，与最近关于一维聚合物模型的结果建立了联系。
