SPT-3G 的设计与综合性能

摘要

SPT-3G 是运行于南极望远镜上的第三台巡天接收机,专用于宇宙微波背景(CMB)的高分辨率观测。对 CMB 温度与偏振各向异性的灵敏测量为约束宇宙学提供了强有力的数据集。此外,具有角分分辨率的 CMB 巡天能够探测星系团、毫米波亮星系以及各种暂现现象。SPT-3G 仪器相比其前代 SPT-SZ 与 SPTpol 在制图速度上有显著提升。该仪器的宽带光学设计在 95 GHz、150 GHz 和 220 GHz 观测频段上实现了 430 mm 直径像面,在 150 GHz 处具有 1.2 角分 FWHM 束响应。在接收机中,该像面排布有 2690 个双偏振三色像素(约 16000 个探测器),采用 68X 数字频域复用读出系统读取。2018 年,SPT-3G 开始了南天 1500 deg2^{2} 的多年度巡天。我们总结了 SPT-3G 所采用的独特光学、低温、探测器与读出技术,并报告了该仪器的综合性能。
