CYGNO 实验:用于直接暗物质搜索的方向性探测器

摘要

CYGNO 项目旨在开发一种用于方向性暗物质(DM)搜索的高精度光学读出气体时间投影室(TPC),将坐落于格兰萨索国家实验室(LNGS)。CYGNO 采用常压 He:CF4_4 气体混合物,配以基于气体电子倍增器(GEM)的放大结构,并耦合由 sCMOS 相机与光电倍增管(PMTs)组成的光学读出。该实验装置可实现低至 O(1) keV 能量的三维径迹与本底抑制,从而提升对低质量 WIMP 的灵敏度。将阐释光学读出方法在光产额方面的特性以及粒子鉴别性质。项目时间表预见,在未来 2–3 年内,于 LNGS 地下实验室实现并安装一台 0.4 m3^3 TPC 作为演示装置。最后,将展示 CYGNO 演示装置预期暗物质灵敏度的研究。
