CYGNO:用于暗物质方向性探测的光学读出气体TPC

摘要

CYGNO项目的目标是使用带有光学读出的气体时间投影室(TPC),以低能量阈值和方向性来探测暗物质和太阳中微子。CYGNO演示器将由一个体积为1立方米、充满He:CF4混合气体的大气压容器组成。高颗粒度CMOS传感器与快速光探测器相结合的光学读出,将提供事件拓扑的详细重建。这将允许区分核反冲信号与背景,背景主要由放射性引起的低能电子反冲构成。得益于高重建效率,CYGNO将对低质量暗物质敏感,并有可能超越最终限制非方向性暗物质探测的中微子地板。
