Cygno光学TPC中基于贝叶斯网络的3D事件重建用于暗物质直接探测

摘要

CYGNO实验正在开发一种具有光学读出的高分辨率气态时间投影室(TPC),用于定向暗物质搜索。该探测器使用氦-四氟化甲烷(He:CF₄ 60:40)混合气体,在大气压下工作,并采用三级气体电子倍增器(GEM)放大级,结合科学相机进行高分辨率二维成像,以及快速光电倍增管用于时间分辨闪烁光探测。该设置实现了3D事件重建:光电倍增管信号提供深度信息,而相机提供高精度横向分辨率。在本工作中,我们提出了一种基于贝叶斯网络的算法,旨在仅使用光电倍增管信号进行事件重建,从而获得粒子轨迹的完整3D描述。该算法以概率方式建模光收集过程,并在光发射的气体电子倍增器平面上估计空间参数和强度参数。该算法实现在贝叶斯分析工具包中,并使用马尔可夫链蒙特卡洛采样进行后验推断。利用CYGNO LIME原型数据的验证显示了对局域和扩展轨迹的准确重建。结果表明,贝叶斯方法能够实现稳健的3D描述,当与相机数据结合时,进一步提高了轨迹重建的精度。该方法学代表了定向暗物质探测的重要进展,提升了以高空间分辨率识别核反冲轨迹的能力。
