LIME——用于 CYGNO 实验定向暗物质搜寻的气态 TPC 原型

摘要

CYGNO 实验旨在开发一种大型气态 TPC,采用基于 GEM 的放大和由 PMT 与科学 CMOS 相机组成的光学读出,实现低至 O(keV) 能量量级的 3D 径迹重建,用于低质量暗物质和太阳中微子相互作用等稀有事件的定向探测。迄今为实现 CYGNO 实验验证装置而建造的最大原型是有效体积 50 L 的 LIME,其配备 4 个 PMT 和一台单 sCMOS,对 33×\times33 cm\textsuperscript{2} 区域进行 50 cm 漂移成像,已于 2022 年 2 月安装于格兰萨索国家地下实验室。我们将展示 LIME 在弗拉斯卡蒂国家实验室地面利用放射性 X 射线源评估的性能,特别是探测器的稳定性、能量响应和能量分辨率。我们将讨论为复现探测器响应而开发的 MC 模拟,并展示其与真实数据的对比。此外,我们将考察针对 LIME 地下取数所开展的本底模拟,并说明在天然与材料本征放射性表征以及 LNGS 地下天然中子通量测量方面预期开展的测量与结果。地下 LIME 装置将获得的结果对于 CYGNO 验证装置的优化至关重要,因为该装置预计由多个具有相同 LIME 尺寸与特征的模块组成。
