具有细粒度纵向分割的 shashlik 量能器的试验束性能

摘要

一个具有 4.3 X0X_0 纵向分割的铁-塑料闪烁体 shashlik 量能器于 2016 年 11 月在 CERN 东区的设施中使用高达 5 GeV 的带电粒子进行了测试。本文给出了该探测器在电子能量分辨率、线性度、对缪子及强子簇射的响应方面的性能,并与模拟进行了比较。这种细粒度纵向分割是通过 SCENTT 和 ENUBET 合作组开发的一种非常紧凑的光读出系统实现的,该系统基于嵌入探测器体内的光纤-SiPM 耦合板。我们证明了该系统满足中微子物理应用的要求,并讨论了性能及进一步改进。
