摘要
TUCAN(TRIUMF Ultra-Cold Advanced Neutron)合作组旨在以空前精度搜寻中子电偶极矩(nEDM)。nEDM 测量的关键要素之一是超冷中子(UCN)的极化分析器,其主要组件为磁化薄铁膜。若干薄铁膜被沉积在铝和硅衬底上,并通过振动样品磁强计与冷中子反射仪进行表征。使铁膜饱和所需的磁场在铝衬底上约为 12 kA/m,在硅衬底上为 6.4 kA/m。通过中子反射仪估计硅衬底上铁膜的磁势为 2 T,这足以满足 nEDM 测量中 UCN 极化分析器的性能要求。
