Sloan数字银河 surveys光谱目标选择:引星样本

我们描述了在Sloan数字银河 surveys中选择引星候选对象的算法。通过在"ugriz"宽带光度测量中的非星际颜色选择引星候选对象,并通过匹配未解决的源与FIRST射电目录。该自动化算法对z<5.8的引星敏感。也针对作为低红移引星候选对象的扩展源,以调查Active Galactic Nuclei(AGN)在亮度函数暗端的演化。几乎95%的已知引星被恢复(基于446平方度内1540颗引星)。总体完整性预计超过90%,而总体效率(引星:引星候选对象)优于65%。该选择算法针对i^*=19.1及更高红移的紫外过度引星,以及i^*=20.2及更高红移(z>3)引星,产生约每平方度18个候选对象。除了选择"normal"引星外,该算法的设计也能敏感地捕获异常性AGN,如Broad Absorption Line引星和强掩埋引星。
