SHARK-NIR:LBT的日冕成像相机,迈向建造阶段

摘要

SHARK-NIR是为大型双筒望远镜(LBT)提出的两台日冕仪之一。它与SHARK-VIS(在可见光域执行日冕成像)一起,将提供使用双筒观测的可能性,结合直接成像、日冕成像和日冕低分辨率光谱,覆盖从0.5{\mu}m到1.7{\mu}m的宽波长范围。此外,同时使用LMIRCam(LBT干涉仪NIR日冕相机,工作于K到L波段)将进一步扩展所覆盖的波长范围。2017年1月,SHARK-NIR成功通过了最终设计评审,评审批准该仪器建造并未来在LBT上实施。我们在此报告该仪器的最终设计,其设想了两个中间瞳平面和三个焦平面,以容纳若干日冕技术,这些技术被选择用于最大化仪器在距恒星不同距离处的对比度。系外行星搜寻与表征是驱动仪器设计的科学目标,但LBT自适应光学的SOUL升级将提高仪器在暗端体制下的性能,从而能够对相对广泛的目标样本开展银河系(喷流与盘)和河外(AGN与QSO)科学,这些目标通常在其他类似设施中无法触及。
