宽视场红外巡天望远镜日冕仪仪器的关键技术

摘要

宽视场红外巡天望远镜(WFIRST)日冕仪仪器(CGI)是一台高对比度成像仪与积分视场光谱仪,将在可见光波段实现系外行星与星周盘的研究。地基高对比度仪器在小工作角下的性能存在根本限制,即便对 30 米级望远镜作乐观假设亦然。存在强烈科学驱动力以追求更优性能,尤其在可见光波段。未来旗舰任务概念旨在以超过 10^10 的可见光通量比成像类地行星。CGI 是迈向该目标的关键中间步骤,其可见光预测通量比能力为 10^8-9。CGI 通过在以下几方面相对当前地基与空间系统的改进实现此能力:(i) 硬件:经空间认证的(TRL9)变形镜、探测器与日冕仪;(ii) 算法:波前传感与控制;积分视场光谱仪、偏振与扩展目标数据的后处理;(iii) 高精度与高保真地验证望远镜与仪器模型。本白皮书提交于 2018 年 NAS 系外行星科学战略征集,描述了 CGI 关键技术的现状,并给出了随着 CGI 设计成熟性能可能演进的途径。
