摘要
研究了粒子在 N 维外部势中的扩散，该势在一个维度上是周期的，在其他 N-1 个维度上无界。我们找到了过阻尼扩散的解析表达式，并数值研究了中等和低阻尼的情况。我们表明，在欠阻尼极限下，多维效应导致原子在外部周期势底部连续俘获之间的跳跃长度减小（与一维运动相比）。作为应用，我们考虑了吸附在晶体表面的二聚体的扩散。
