来自 PICO-60 C$_{3}$F$_{8}$ 气泡室的光子介导暗物质-核相互作用的结果

摘要

许多引人注目的模型预言暗物质通过更高多极相互作用耦合到电磁流,同时保持电中性。不同多极耦合已被研究,其中包括偶极矩、电偶极矩与磁偶极矩,以及毫电荷。本研究在有效场论框架下使用非相对论接触算符,对这些光子介导相互作用的耦合设定限制。利用 PICO-60 气泡室的数据,报道了在 2.7 GeV/c2^2 到 24 GeV/c2^2 间暗物质质量下这些光子介导暗物质-核相互作用耦合的领先限制。探测器填充有 52 kg C3_3F8_8,运行于 2.45 keV 与 3.29 keV 的热力学阈值,分别达到 1404 kg-day 与 1167 kg-day 的曝光量。
