低阈值双通道温度声子探测器的轻暗物质相互作用首次限制——来自 TESSERACT 合作

摘要

我们报告了在1 cm²面积、1 mm厚度(0.233克)的高分辨率硅质单孔声子探测器中进行的自旋无关暗物质-原子核相互作用搜索结果。该探测器在基底能量分辨率方面实现了361.5 ± 0.4 MeV/c²的 r.m.s. 基线能量分辨率,为迄今为止任何单孔声子探测器中最好的之一。以0.233克 × 12小时的暴露量,我们对暗物质质量在44至87 MeV/c²范围内的相互作用设定了最严格的约束,在87 MeV/c²处,最低未被探索的横截面为4 × 10⁻³² cm²。我们采用保守的“盐撒”技术(salting technique),实现了通过直接探测实验探测到的暗物质质量的最低值。该约束得益于将低能背景与单个传感器耦合的双通道抑制技术。
