发展了一种寻找重虚粒子信号的方法。该方法基于低能有效拉氏量的重整化群方程和退耦定理。作为应用，分析了四费米子过程中与模型无关的阿贝尔Z'玻色子寻找。推导了有效拉氏量参数的基本单圈重整化群关系，这使得可以将问题归结为标准模型粒子在“外场”中的散射，该“外场”替代了重的虚Z'态。从推导出的一组关系中确定，Z'与轴矢流的耦合绝对值对所有费米子必须相同，并且与Z'与标量场的耦合强相关。推导了有效拉氏量参数之间的相应依赖关系。
