FOR-SUp 项目进展:首个采用 ELT 技术的仪器

摘要
欧洲太空中心(ESO)正在对其中一个两个 FORS(FOcal Reducer/low dispersion Spectrograph)仪器进行升级——这是一个多模式(成像、极化、长槓和多目标光谱)光学仪器,安装在 ESO 非常大型望远镜 Unit Telescope 1 的卡塞尔格兰焦点上。FORS1 已从智利移至梨洲,正在进行全面翻新,包括更换所有电动部件。此外,开发了新的软件,基于 Extremely Large Telescope Instrument Control Software Framework,因而升级后的 FORS1 将是首个在运营中使用该框架的仪器。新款 Teledyne e2V CCD 已采购并正在使用 New Generation Controller 在 ESO 进行测试。此外,已开发了新的光栅组,并将购买新的滤光片组。设计了新的内部校准单元,以提高操作效率。
