CRIRES$^{+}$ 在 ESO 甚大望远镜上的观测表现

摘要

低温红外阶梯光栅光谱仪(CRIRES)升级项目 CRIRES+^{+} 扩展了 CRIRES 的能力。它将这台 VLT 仪器改造为交叉色散光谱仪,使同时覆盖的波长范围最多提升至原来的十倍。此外,由三个截止波长 5.3 μ\mum 的 Hawaii 2RG 探测器组成的新探测器焦平面阵列替换了原有探测器。在诸多其他改进中,新增了光谱偏振单元并增强了校准系统。该仪器于 2020 年初安装在 VLT 的 3 号单元望远镜上,并于 2021 年成功完成调试和科学运行验证,其中部分工作因 COVID-19 疫情从欧洲远程进行。随后自 2021 年 10 月起向天文界开放。本文描述了升级后仪器的性能与能力,并展示了观测结果。
