ERIS 在 VLT 上的首批天文观测结果

摘要

ERIS(增强分辨率成像仪与光谱仪)是一台安装在智利帕瑞纳天文台 VLT-UT4 望远镜卡塞格林焦点处的新自适应光学仪器。ERIS 由两台近红外仪器组成:SPIFFIER,一台覆盖 J 至 K 波段的积分视场单元(IFU)光谱仪;以及 NIX,一台覆盖 J 至 M 波段的成像仪。ERIS 拥有可使用激光导引星(LGS)与自然导引星(NGS)工作的自适应光学系统。ERIS 在帕瑞纳天文台的装配集成验证(AIV)阶段于 2021 年 12 月启动,随后在 2022 年进行了数次调试运行。本报告将描述 ERIS 在调试期间的天文观测性能初步结果,以及基于初步科学结果的未来展望。
