摘要
Gott 提出了一条规则，用于基于现象的当前年龄对其未来持续时间进行概率预测 [Nature, Vol. 363, 315 (1993)]。我证明推导 Gott 法则的两种常用方法存在缺陷。没有任何依据支持不加区分地将 Gott 法则用作未来持续时间的预测器。它仅应在所涉现象没有可识别的时间尺度时使用。
