M87 中连接自旋黑洞的进动喷流喷嘴

摘要

邻近射电星系 M87 为探索中心超大质量黑洞与相对论性喷流之间的联系提供了独特机遇。此前对 M87 内区的揭示表明,源自黑洞附近的喷流具有较宽的张开角。事件视界望远镜分辨出了中心射电源,并发现了一个与广义相对论预期相符的非对称环结构。基于 17 年观测基线,喷流横向位置发生了偏移,可能源于 8 至 10 年的准周期性。然而,这一侧向偏移的起源仍不清楚。本文报道了对 22 年射电观测的分析,表明喷流位置角变化存在约 11 年的周期。我们推断,我们所见的是一个自旋黑洞引发了未对齐吸积盘的 Lense-Thirring 进动。类似的喷流进动可能普遍发生于其他活动星系核中,但因变化幅度小、周期长而一直难以探测。
