摘要
我们考虑n维时空中旋量场方程的极坐标形式，研究时空维度如何影响以极坐标形式写出的旋量场的独立场方程数量与自由度数量：我们将发现这种极坐标形式是最清晰的工具，用以表明旋量场的自由度与独立场方程仅在维度4和8时相匹配，而在所有其他情况下将存在一般的欠定或过定问题。
