在系统且统一的框架下考虑偏微分方程的对称性质：特别关注条件对称性的概念，从而区分并精确刻画“真”条件对称与“弱”条件对称的概念。还讨论了它们与精确对称和部分对称的关系。广泛使用了“对称适配”变量；并给出了若干澄清性的例子，包括 Boussinesq 方程的情形。
