关于相对熵在字符序列分类中的应用

摘要
我们描述了一种利用相对熵进行字符序列（文本、DNA）分类的通用方法，通过采用即插即用的压缩技术和马尔可夫链进行估计，方法效果相当精确。我们还注意到，论文 cond-mat/0108530 中所述的估计相对熵的方法（由 D. Benedetto 等人撰写，题为“Language Trees...”）早已被人所考察，且被简单且计算高效的一阶马尔可夫链方法所超越。
