衰变 K⁺ → π⁺γγ 的观测

摘要

报告首次观察到衰变 K⁺ → π⁺γγ。观察到 31 个事件,在 π⁺动量范围 100 MeV/c 至 180 MeV/c 内,背景估计为 5.1 ± 3.3 个。对应的部分分支比率 B(K⁺ → π⁺γγ, 100 MeV/c < P_π⁺ < 180 MeV/c) 为 (6.0 ± 1.5(统计)± 0.7(系统)) × 10⁻⁷。在 π⁺动量大于 215 MeV/c 的区域未观察到 K⁺ → π⁺γγ 衰变。观察到的 π⁺动量谱与奇异扰动理论的预测进行了比较。
