深度学习模型复用:软件工程中的挑战与方向

摘要

深度神经网络(DNN)在计算机视觉、系统配置和问答等多个领域实现了最先进的性能,但开发 DNN 昂贵,既需要智力劳动(如构思新架构),也需要计算资源(如训练)。复用 DNN 是在公司内部和跨计算行业摊薄成本的有前景的方向。然而,鉴于这是一项新技术,DNN 复用面临诸多挑战。这些挑战包括技术能力缺失和工程实践缺失。本愿景论文描述了当前 DNN 复用方法中的挑战。我们概述了在复用技术谱系中发生的复用失败案例,包括概念层面(如基于研究论文进行复用)、适应层面(如通过构建现有实现进行复用)以及部署层面(如在新设备上直接复用)。我们勾勒了将改进每种复用方式的可能性。
