摘要
CERN 轴子太阳望远镜(CAST)在一台翻新 LHC 测试磁体的 9 T 磁场中搜寻 转换,该磁体可指向太阳。两个平行磁孔可填充压力可调的氦气,以使 X 射线折射质量 匹配轴子搜寻质量 。在真空阶段(2003–2004,对 eV 最优)之后,我们在 2005–2007 使用 He 覆盖 0.02–0.39 eV 质量范围,在 2009–2011 使用 He 扫描 0.39–1.17 eV。在改进探测器和屏蔽后,我们于 2012 年回到 He,以研究约 0.2 eV 附近的窄 范围(早先搜索的“候选设置”)以及 0.39–0.42 eV(使用 He 可达到的轴子质量上限范围),从而针对 KSVZ 模型“跨越轴子线”。我们依据压力设置将对轴子-光子耦合的极限改进到 (95% C.L.)。自 2013 年起,我们回到真空并旨在显著提高灵敏度。
