我们展示了一种近场扫描热显微镜，它本质上是在距离材料纳米尺度上探测热激发电磁模式的局域态密度，可用于该材料表面结构的纳米级成像。这一发现通过一种将表面结构视为微扰的理论方法得到了解释。
