我们讨论了在热带森林中寻找食物的蜘蛛猴轨迹的各种特征，这些特征是在最近的一项广泛的{\it 原位}研究中观察到的。观察到的一些特征可以解释为社会互动的结果。此外，一个在随机环境中的确定性行走的简单模型再现了连续步骤之间观察到的角度相关性，并且在某些情况下，再现了步长L\'evy分布的出现。
