摘要
我们提出了一种通用的贝叶斯方法，用于量化基于引文数据的一维科学质量度量的统计可靠性。实践中使用的两种质量度量——“每年论文数”和“Hirsch的”——被证明缺乏必要的准确性和精密度，无法使用。另一方面，平均、中位数和最大引文数是可靠的，并且允许仅基于50篇出版物就能对未来作者的表现进行准确预测。
