NEXT双β衰变实验中氡诱导本底的测量

详细讨论了在所谓Run-II期间使用Xe贫化氙的NEXT-White探测器中内部Rn活度的测量,及其对NEXT中双β衰变搜寻的影响。该活度通过Rn及其α发射子体在 fiducial volume 中诱导的α产生率来测量。比活度测得为~mBq/m。还通过对沉积在时间投影室阴极上的Bi子体离子的衰变表征了氡诱导电子。由我们的研究得出结论,氡诱导本底足够低以使得成功的NEXT-100物理计划成为可能,因为无中微子双β衰变样本中的预计速率贡献不应超过0.1~counts/yr。
