NEXT-White 探测器事件识别能力的演示

摘要
在搜寻无中微子双贝塔衰变的实验中,识别两个发射电子的可能性是排斥本底事件从而提升实验整体灵敏度的有力工具。本文中,我们利用 NEXT 实验首个地下运行探测器 NEXT-White 的数据,首次测量了基于双电子与单电子径迹不同事件特征的切割效率。使用 \TO 刻度源产生能量接近 1.6 MeV 的类信号与类本底事件,在背景接受度 下,获得信号效率 ,与蒙特卡洛模拟吻合良好。我们还通过蒙特卡洛模拟将该结果外推至无中微子双贝塔衰变能量区,所得结果显示背景排斥较较低能量处获得的结果有所改善。
