摘要
CCD 探测器在光学天文的各个方面都起着至关重要的作用。推进研究的关键在于能够与商业代工厂合作，生产满足特定仪器需求的定制器件。二十多年来，Teledyne DALSA Semiconductor 一直是制造 150 mm 晶圆 CCD 的主要工业合作伙伴。DALSA 正在将制造从 150 mm 晶圆直径迁移到 200 mm 晶圆直径，并且不会为新规格晶圆更新其 CCD 工艺设备。因此，DALSA 将不再作为天文界在 CCD 制造方面的合作伙伴。我们建议能源部、国家科学基金会和 NASA 联合寻求一家新的 CCD 制造商业合作伙伴，以维持面向天文应用的定制 CCD 设计能力。
