在密度不均的 GaAs 双层体系中的测量显示，在磁场位置出现显著的磁阻滞回现——当其中一层或另一层的 Landau 能级填充因子为 1 时。固定于滞回区域内的磁场下，电阻表现出一种异常的时间依赖性，包括随机的、双向的跳跃 followed by 缓慢的松弛。这些异常似乎由两个层间电荷分布的不稳定性所致。
