无序与拓扑在超导量子处理器上Thouless泵浦中的相互作用

摘要

拓扑相在弱扰动下是鲁棒的,但当无序足够强时会被破坏。然而,适度的无序也可以诱导拓扑非平凡相。Thouless泵浦作为整数量子霍尔效应的(1+1)维对应,是拓扑最简单的表现之一。这里,我们报告在41量子比特超导量子处理器上Thouless泵浦与无序之间竞争和相互作用的实验观测。我们改进了一种Floquet工程技术,通过同时改变在位势和跳跃耦合来实现绝热泵浦循环。我们展示了存在无序时的Thouless泵浦,并展示了随着无序强度增加其崩溃。此外,我们观察了分别由在位势无序和跳跃无序诱导的两种拓扑泵浦。特别地,由准周期跳跃无序诱导的本征拓扑泵浦此前从未被实验实现。我们的高度可控系统为研究存在无序时拓扑物理的各个方面提供了一个有价值的量子模拟平台。
