摘要
北半球夏季热带大西洋海表温度与年度飓风数量之间存在明显的正相关。这激发了通过尝试预报海表温度来预测未来飓风活动的想法。在先前工作中，我们已使用简单统计方法为此目的制作热带大西洋海表温度的 5 年预报。我们现在将这些统计 SST 预报与由 IPCC 气候模式集合平均做出的 SST 预报进行比较。
