首次 $\pi K$ 原子寿命与 $\pi K$ 散射长度测量

摘要

本文展示了寻找由 πK±\pi^{\mp}K^{\pm} 介子组成的类氢原子的结果。通过来自 CERN PS 的 24 GeV/c 质子与镍靶相互作用,从原子在同一靶内破裂产生的特征 πK\pi K 对(178±49178 \pm 49)以及来自 Coulomb 末态相互作用(653±42653 \pm 42)的证据中,观察到了 πK\pi K 原子产生的迹象。利用这些结果,分析首次给出了 πK\pi K 原子寿命值 τ=(2.51.8+3.0)\tau=(2.5_{-1.8}^{+3.0}) fs,以及首次与模型无关的 S 波同位旋奇数 πK\pi K 散射长度测量值 a0=13a1/2a3/2=(0.110.04+0.09)Mπ1\left|a_0^-\right|=\frac{1}{3}\left|a_{1/2}-a_{3/2}\right|= \left(0.11_{-0.04}^{+0.09} \right)M_{\pi}^{-1}aIa_I 对应同位旋 II)。
