射电至 TeV 多设备联合观测中 Mrk 501 的首次 NuSTAR 观测

我们报告了 2013 年 4 月 1 日至 8 月 10 日期间对发射 TeV 辐射的耀变体 Markarian 501 的同时宽带观测结果,包括利用 Swift 和 NuSTAR 对同步辐射峰的首次详细刻画。在观测期间,该近邻 BL Lac 天体处于宁静态和升高态。此次宽带观测包括 NuSTAR、MAGIC、VERITAS、Fermi 大面积望远镜(LAT)、Swift X 射线望远镜与紫外光学望远镜、包括 GASP-WEBT 项目在内的多种地基光学仪器,以及 OVRO、Mets"ahovi 和 F-Gamma 联盟的射电观测。部分 MAGIC 观测受到撒哈拉沙漠沙层影响,必须使用由 LIDAR(激光雷达)设施导出的事件级校正进行修正。这是首次利用 LIDAR 信息对在不利大气条件下获取的切伦科夫望远镜数据产生物理结果,从而为当前及未来的地基伽马射线仪器开创了先例。NuSTAR 仪器在硬 X 射线波段提供了前所未有的灵敏度,显示该源在 3 至 79 keV 之间的能谱分布与对数抛物线谱一致,并表现出小时尺度的硬 X 射线变化。(四次扩展的 NuSTAR 观测中)没有一次显示出硬 X 射线能段逆 Compton 辐射出现的证据。我们将单区平衡同步自 Compton 模型应用于五个同时宽带能谱分布。我们发现,同步自 Compton 模型能够通过磁场强度降低、同时伴随负责高能辐射的相对论性轻子光度与硬度增加,来重现观测到的宽带状态。
