消光：阻碍光学银河系观测的房间里的大象

摘要
消光是分析光学/红外数据时几乎人人都试图回避的“房间里的大象”：天文学家倾向于寻找一个能让审稿人接受的快速解决方案，但这并不意味着该方案是正确甚至最优的。在本贡献中，我探讨了三个常被忽视的与消光相关的重要问题，并提出了当前和未来的解决方案：[1] 消光产生非线性光度效应，[2] 消光律随视线方向而变化，[3] 并非所有消光律族都具有相同的精度。
