粒子物理学欧洲战略更新 — — PIONEER:下一代稀有介子衰变实验

摘要
PIONEE是一项旨在通过显著改进对带电介子衰变的测量,以检验夸克-伴随-克挞(CKM)矩阵第一行单位性以及轻子味普适性(LFU)的纯粹实验。PIONEE第一阶段旨将带电介子分支比(branching ratio)电/μ比值测量精度提升至量级,改进当前实验结果的15倍。该的精度将与标准模型(SM)理论预测的精度相当,允许在前所未有的水平上检验LFU,探寻非标准模型解释LFU违规现象,通过对新粒子作用的量子效应进行探测,最高可达PeV质量尺度。第二阶段和第三阶段将分别提升介子β衰变分支比(当前为)的实验精度,提升幅度分别为3倍和6倍。改进后的测量将以纯粹的方式提取。预计的最终精度可达0.05\%水平,从而实现对CKM单位性的严格检验。PIONEE实验还将将大量偏离标准模型的稀有介子衰变实验极限提升一个数量级以上,用于探测重 neutrinos和暗物质物理效应。本稿为2026年更新的欧洲粒子物理战略提供输入,描述了PIONEE实验的物理动机与概念设计,并基于PIONEE提案提交至并获意大利能源研究所(PSI)项目咨询委员会(PAC)高优先级批准。PIONEE实验计划利用强介子束、最先进的仪器装置和计算资源,力争在本十年结束前开始数据采集。
