个人消费支出分布中的经验规律

摘要
我们经验性地研究了在固定收入水平下，四种商品类别个人消费支出的分布。数据来源于英国每年进行的家庭支出调查。我们使用图形技术检验这些分布的正态性和对数正态性。尽管主流经济理论未对这些分布预测任何结构，但我们发现在至少三种商品类别中，给定固定收入水平下的个人消费支出服从对数正态分布。
